ZBrush workflow: Concept art

- [Instructor] In this weekly tip, we'll explore a concept art workflow and how the ZBrush fits into this picture. So let's take a look at what this type of workflow looks like. A typical workflow involves sketching the initial ideas in Photoshop, or creating some models into 3D tools such as ZBrush, 3ds Max, and Maya. At this stage ZBrush might be the first tool used, especially if it is a creature or character concepts for games and movies. ZBrush is often used as a first step, or second step, when creating concept art. For environment concepts an artist might get started in Maya or 3ds Max for general blocking and big structures, and then move on to ZBrush to detail the environment. In a typical modeling workflow for concept art there is a back and forth in between your typical 3D tools, like Maya, and sculpting tools, like ZBrush.
