Here we are at the very end. Materials have been applied to all the various parts and we're ready to show off all our hard work to the world. Let's finish it up right with a turntable video that shows off the model from all sides. So, let's first make sure the render's looking good. We'll just pick some view that we want to see this from and click BPR. Okay, I just want to confirm that the transparancy is working. We've got some nice shadows, all the materials are on, looks great. Here's your thumbnail shot, by the way. Okay, now to make a turntable video.
Now the type of rendering that the turntable video does is based on the type of render you currently see on your screen. So, if I were to move this, it would switch back to the normal view port. And if I did a turntable video right now we would just see this normal on screen material. However, if we want to see our rendered version in the turntable, we have to make sure that we're currently seeing our render onscreen. Okay, so now let's go up to Movie. There's a few settings I want to change in here. For one, I want to get rid of a title image.
That's sort of an image that shows up at the very beginning of the movie and at the very end, but I don't want to cover up any of my hard work with the Z Brush logo so let's turn all these to zero, and also an overlay image. I don't want to have Z Brush's watermark on my videos. Sorry, Pixel Logic. Now, let's set this to document. I only want to make a video out of my working document. I don't want to make one out of the entire Z Brush interface, which is what would happen if I have a Window turned on. So, this document is good. Now if we set this to large, we get a video that's the exact same dimensions as our working document.
So, that's good. If we want to set it to medium, it would be half the size. And small would be a quarter of the size. Alright, let's change one thing under Modifiers. In here we can set the number of frames that we'll get in our turntable. 180 is probably pretty good, but you could set it out to a really slow motion 1,440 frame turntable, it's probably overkill. So, something in the range of about 150, 250 is good. And then here we can set the recording frames per second, 24 frames per second is pretty good.
Playback also at 24 frames per second. Really no need to change this, however, if for some reason if you want this to play back at 30 frames per second, you could just come in and type in 30 here, and move it to 30 or type it in there. No, looks like I accidentally got 29 here, okay, 30. Okay, so all of this is set and good to go. Let's go ahead and click Turntable. So now what Z Brush is going to do is, it's going to spin around the model, and create a new render for every one of our turntable frames. As you can see, it's going pretty fast, but it's still going to take several minutes to do this.
So let's go ahead and cut it here. And we'll pick it up once the render's finished. Okay, so our turntable just finished. Now let's take a look at it and see how it turned out. We'll go up to Movie, and Play Movie. Okay, so it just plays through it, and unceremoniously closes the player once it's done. So, now we can actually export the movie. Save it out so we can send it to somebody or watch it later. So let's click on Export, and now we can choose where we want to save this to. So let's say we want to save this to the desktop. We can call this, Androidturntable and click Save.
And here we get compression settings. I like to leave it on H264. High quality is fine. Everything's fine. Go ahead and click OK. So now it exports and you've got a new video. So I use turntables all the time. They're really great for showing people what your model looks like from all angles. Especially when you use it with the BPR rendering.
