Making vent holes from polygroups

We have seen how we can use slices to create polygroups that define where holes should go. However, now we need to actually turn those polygroups into holes. In this video also use some tricks for doing just that. So, let's take a look at our upper torso piece and look at this from the top view. And let's hit Shift + F to turn on Polygroups. Okay, so you can see these Polygroups that we made right here. We need to turn these into vent holes. Something else I want to do really quick is just turn on the Transparency mode so that we can see just the torso more easily. Okay, so what I want to do is make sure that I've got my Select Rectangle tool turned on. So one thing I want to do is make sure that I'm no longer in the Slice tool. So let's hit B, S, and let's get Select a Rectangle. I want to make sure that I don't accidentally cut more slices. Okay. So now let's isolate the polygroups for the vent holes. So I'm going to hold down Ctrl+Shift and Click on this one polygroup here. And…
