Arranging objects in a grid

- [Instructor] In this movie, I want to show you a trick that can save you a lot of effort when you have a bunch of objects to align in Inkscape. In this file, I've messed up the alignment of circles, by dragging over them with the tweak tool in random mode. Now, to clean this up would be really tedious to select all the rows and columns, and use the regular align and distribute controls, but there's actually a much easier way to do this in Inkscape, and you can find it in the arrange dialogue. So I'll choose object, arrange, and here, I can arrange things in a grid. I'm going to select all my circles by pressing Ctrl + A, and the dialogue automatically figures out how many rows and columns I have selected. I'm going to choose fit into selection box, that way I'll keep the size of my current selection, and then just click arrange. And just like that, all my rows and columns are straightened out.
