- [Instructor] Mount Rainier dominates the landscape in Seattle. I love how it rises over the houses in this neighborhood. I think this photo will be even better in black and white. Lightroom has options for converting to black and white. You can use the presets in the Edit panel. Open edit, go to presets, and then black and white. Another way is to click on the black and white button at the top of the Edit panel. Click on this box to show more options. Either way you can pick a preset and then customize it. Most of the Lightroom tools still work in black and white mode, but I'm not ready to turn it into black and white. I like to make adjustments to the color image before I convert. I increase exposure and contrast and decrease the highlights. I also like to add black. I want the mountain to really pop, so I use brush to brighten it. I'm getting a bit of a halo.
