Block variations and styles

- [Instructor] In this lesson, I'd like to introduce you to the concept of block variations and block styles. While both provide a way to change the appearance of a block, there are two different approaches. Let's take a look. So here, I've got the quote block. And if I look at the block settings, which you can get to by toggling this gear icon here, I can see there are two styles to choose from, this default and large. And this works by adding a custom CSS class to the block's wrapper. So if we look under this Advanced section, here we've got the additional CSS class. And if we select Default instead, we can see that that class name is changed. So choosing a block style applies a predefined CSS class. Block variations, on the other hand, provide different configurations you can select when a block is first added to a page. You can even use it to pre-fill custom attributes and add inner blocks, which means that block…
