Last week on The Practicing Photographer. I tried to sell you on the idea that a modern instant camera is not only a lot of fun and a great way to produce very satisfying prints, it's also a really good instructional tool, it's a really great way to improve your photography with your regular cameras. We looked at these Instax prints Instax is a technology developed by Fuji. There are several competing instant technologies available right now. You can still buy the Polaroid SX-70 format. Polaroid also makes something called Zink, which is available from a number of different vendors, camera and printer vendors. Of all of the technologies, I actually like the Instax technology the best right now, the blacks are blacker than anything else, and that gives you a better contrast range and more saturated color.
