- [Instructor] Let's practice some of the concepts we've just discussed with a challenge. For this exercise, we've included an example 3D CAD file in the course resources. You'll find a version of this file in both .stp and .igs formats, which should be compatible with most CAD packages. Using the CAD program of your choice, begin a drawing for this part, placing all the views needed to depict every feature. There's no need to place any dimensions just yet, but you may want to think about what views will be most helpful when the time comes to actually dimension these features. Here's some things to consider as you work through this exercise. Try to use only the minimum number of views needed to completely show every feature inside and out. Choose a sheet size and scale that will leave enough room for dimensions and notes. Add a title block and border that has all the required features for an engineering drawing.…
