Choosing a renderer

- [Instructor] Whenever you enable 3D on a layer, you're actually transitioning the renderer that After Effects is using, from the Classic 3D renderer to whatever renderer you choose. So right now, if we look at our project in the timeline here, you'll notice none of these layers exist in three-dimensional space. Up here in the upper-right corner of the composition panel, there's nothing. This is just the default renderer straight out of After Effects. But what we're going to do is enable 3D for layers one through four. So I'm going to go over here to my switches area and I'll click and drag down through all four layers so they all exist in 3D space now. Now once I've done that, if you look in the upper-right corner of the composition panel, you'll see there's a button that says Classic 3D, unless you've been working in After Effects on your system and happened to change that at a different point in time.
