Choosing types of cameras

- [Instructor] Now once you've set up your 3D scene, where you have layers positioned in 3D space and you have some lights and some shadows, you probably want to go ahead and add a camera into the scene. Adding cameras gives you additional flexibility when it comes to animation. Instead of having to animate the layers into the scene, you can animate the camera moving through the scene. Let's go up under the Layer menu and go to New and Choose Camera. Now, under the Type dropdown, there are two types of cameras you can create inside of After Effects. Their general functionality will remain the same, but there is a major difference between a one-node and two-node camera and that difference is the point of interest. The first thing I'll do is choose a one-node camera and I'll go over here under the Preset dropdown and choose what kind of lens I'd like on that camera. To simulate the angle of view from the human eye, I'll choose 50 millimeter and then I'll click OK. Now just so you can…
