Common UX methods

- There are several UX research methods that are typically used for conducting foundational research. And you can roughly categorize them as either focused on understanding users and their contexts, generating ideas for solutions, or exploring business or market landscape. Understanding users and contexts is all centered around learning about people, their needs and their overall lives and gnostic of their relationship with your product. Rather than focusing scope just on their interactions, you look to learn more broadly about their motivations and behaviors. There are a lot of methods that can be used to do this exploration, the most popular being interviews, ethnography or field studies, longitudinal studies like experienced samples or diary studies and data mining.
