- From a photography education standpoint, there's a lot of good and bad about photo sharing sites and social media. On the not so good side is the fact that sites like Instagram and other photo sharing sites kind of make photography disposable. There's such a glut of images that we tend to look at something once and expect there to be something else right after it and so we just move on, we don't live with images, we don't really spend time studying them and learning them. We're also stuck looking at them on small screens. On the other side of the spectrum is the fact that you can see some spectacular photography on these sites and there's a lot you can learn from viewing the work of other photographers. I'm going to look today at a spectacular account called @insta_repeat. @insta_repeat is not a particular photographer showing their own work, rather, whoever this is, they are trawling through Instagram, finding lots of different people who have composed things the same way.
