Consider existing gear when choosing a system

- It doesn't matter if you're switching to a mirrorless camera system or upgrading, it's always important to think about the gear that you already own. Now, items that are used for camera support like tripods, they are going to be absolutely fine, any lighting equipment, reflectors all of that is going to work, so will most strobe lighting, you might have to get a different adapter or trigger for it but in general, most of the equipment that you've collected through your photography career, will continue to work with your new cameras. They're not fundamentally different but you do want to start to think about the other stuff you own, those lenses, the batteries, all of that. It can be a little bit difficult to just dump everything and start all over, so depending upon the platform you choose, this might be easy or it might be difficult, so let me talk about a specific use case here which is the Canon system.…
