Controlling your flash

- Your camera may have a built in flash or in the case here, an accessory that you can mount. This is just a small flash that fits right onto the hot-shoe and it's controlled and powered by the camera. Larger flashes may need additional power as well, such as AA batteries or dedicated batteries. And let's power that on. Now I can angle the flash, depending upon where I wanted to shoot. When the flash is turned on, it'll be triggered by the shot. For example, watch. You see that it added additional light. Now in this scene, we've got a lot of light with an overhead light and some of the studio lights, but the flash could still come in handy. It's allowing us to trigger and pull up additional results, but the flash may or may not fire depending upon how your camera's configured.
