Creating 3D in After Effects
- [Instructor] I want to take a second here to explain why I created this course. Over the years, After Effects has integrated may different ways to create 3D inside of After Effects. You can position 2D layers in 3D space and have those layers cast shadows and accept lights, you can also create three dimensional layers natively inside of After Effects using different renderers. In this course we're going to focus on how to use the Cinema 4D renderer and the classic 3D renderer. And lastly, you can also create three dimensional layers natively inside of Cinema 4D Light Layers which can then be embedded inside of other compositions such as a classic 3D renderer composition. So there are many different ways to create 3D inside of After Effects, and sometimes that can be a little overwhelming and confusing. So like I said, I designed this course to hopefully shed a little bit of light on how to utilize each of these different methods and to show examples of when you might want to use each different method.
