Creating a Cinema 4D Lite layer

- [Instructor] In addition to the several different ways we've created 2D layers that live in 3D space and true 3D geometry using the Cinema 4D renderer. In this example, we're actually going to create true 3D geometry that exists in the Cinema 4D Lite environment, which is then going to be a layer embedded within my After Effects composition. It doesn't necessarily matter if I am in the Cinema 4D renderer or the classic 3D renderer. All right, so if we look at our current project, you can see I have a background pre-composition that exists in 2D space. So technically, no 3D layers in this composition as of yet. So, I'll make sure the timeline is selected. Then go up under Layer and choose New, MAXON CINEMA 4D File. Now, I'll navigate in my exercise file folder to the chapter five folder and I'll call this file C4D_Start and since I already have that in there, I can go ahead and replace this. Yep, that's fine. And you'll notice Cinema 4D Lite launches and you'll get this information…
