- Let's continue our look at SVG filters in Inkscape, with Bevels and Bumps. In the exercise file, I have a few copies of a spiral shape and we'll apply some of the different Bevel and Bump filters to these shapes to compare the different results we get. So let's select the first spiral, and choose Filters, Bevels, Bloom, right here at the top. And I'll also open the filter editor and open it up a little bit. Now by default, Bloom gives us large diffused white highlights, some texture and some fairly dark shadows on the Bevels. But the great thing about any SVG filter is that you can quickly change the look by tweaking the settings. So in the filter editor, I can see that a lot of work has gone into making this particular filter. I can scroll down and see a whole long list of primitives here. So let's make a couple of changes. We'll go to Gaussian blur here at the top and this is the foundation of the effect. And…
