Creating ellipses

- [Instructor] Let's continue our look at how to create basic shapes by seeing how to make and modify ellipses. Here in the toolbox, I have a tool for making ellipses, circles and arcs, and if I select it or press the keyboard shortcut E, then I can drag to make an ellipse. If I want the ellipse to be centered on the point where I started dragging, I can hold the shift key and drag, and like with rectangles, if I drag and hold the control key, I can constrain the height and width of the ellipses so I can make a circle. I'll just hold control and drag diagonally, and I make a perfect circle. If I hold down the alt key as I drag, notice how my cursor is right on the edge of the ellipse. If I release the alt key and start dragging again, my cursor snaps to the bounding box of the ellipse that I'm drawing.
