Creating spline joints

- Over the last couple of videos we've covered some key concepts that we'll need to keep in mind as we work on our design. Starting with this two-dimensional Voronoi cell pattern and translating it into a three-dimensional extrusion. Where we left off in the last video, we were talking about dividing up each of the cells into a set of flat panels, which we could then assemble. If I go to my Layers Panel here, turn off this Voronoi Pattern layer, and maximize the Front view port, we can get a sense of how that would look for three of the cells out of the overall pattern. So you could see each one would be divided up into this sort of trapezoidal profile. And if you imagine those being extruded out, we can cut those pretty easily out of a flat panel. If we had enough time and skill, we could do that on a table, or we could feed it to something like a 5-Axis CNC Router, which could probably do an easier job of handling the precision of all the intense little angles that we have here…
