Distorting objects

- [Instructor] Next in our tour of Inkscape filters, we'll look at the ones that you can use to distort objects. In the exercise file, I'll select the first spiral here and choose filters distort felt feather. I'll turn on live preview. And at first, the object is almost completely invisible that's because we have a really large blur setting right now. But if I dropped that down, we can bring the object back and you have several controls here for making various effects, like dilation and erosion and so on. I'll click Apply and then Close. Select the next spiral. And I'll go to filters distort, and this time I'll select torn edges down here at the bottom. With torn edges, your smooth lines are roughened up and distorted and this is an example of a filter that doesn't have its own dialogue. So, I'll open the filter editor and here with the base frequency slider, you can go from a large wavy effect with low values…
