This week on The Practicing Photographer, we're going to talk about preparing to travel internationally with camera gear. Now I'm not talking about how do you pack it, and what gear do you take and what's the best lens to use and all that kind of stuff. I'm talking about the problem of actually getting your gear over an international border. Now if you've traveled internationally before with a camera, you might think, well what's the big deal? You take your camera, you go across, everything's fine. And that's true up to a point. And that point is if you're carrying a lot of gear, things can become more complicated.
