- [Instructor] Of all the tools that Inkscape offers, probably none will remind you more of working with actual ink than the calligraphy tool. It lets you draw in a natural manner and alter things like the width and angle of your stroke as you go. So let's see how it works. I'll start here with a blank document, and you can get the calligraphy tool by pressing the letter C on your keyboard, or by selecting it here in the toolbox. With this tool, you can draw paths that vary in thickness and angle and other ways according to the settings that you choose up here in the tool controls. So let's take a look at those. The first setting to consider is width. This is actually the maximum width of the path that you can draw at any given time. By default, the values here are relative to the canvas.
