Equation driven curve
- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to be learning about an equation driven curve. This is a real powerful tool inside of SolidWorks and it is directly under the spline drop down, so click on spline, and come down here to the equation driven curve. Click on that one there, and right here, I can define what that curve actually is. If you read this little box up here in yellow, it says define everything in terms of x. So, let's go ahead and say y is equal to x and we're going to say squared, for instance. I'm going to say from zero to maybe ten. Define that, and as soon as I do that, notice it draws that curve for me. So here's my curve out on the screen. It's defined as this x squared type of curve. So, you can see, if we just wanted to make that to one, you can make it a little bit shorter, and it makes it to a little shorter curve. So, you can define pretty much any type of equation here, so, it's basically whatever y is equal to. I can say x is equal to y, if you wanted to and…
