- [Instructor] So you want to communicate your data to an audience. Where to begin? Well, you begin at the beginning. You begin with focus. I've created a family of acronyms that are absolutely terrible. I have to warn you. But they have a shorthand that's not bad, the KWYs, which rhymes with why, which is what you constantly need to be asking, along with other questions, to really bring focus to your work. Okay, here is the first terrible acronym. It's pronounced KWYRWTS. (chuckles) Terrible, right? Well, bad acronym or not, KWYRWTS stands for know what you really want to say. And this is one of the most important ideas in this entire course. It may seem like an obvious idea. You need to know what you want to say to communicate, duh.
