Good Photoshop isn't a good photo

- If you were old enough to remember the late 1980s then you remember the term desktop publishing. This term came about when a company called Aldus released a program for the Macintosh called PageMaker. It was what we now refer to as a page layout program. Desktop publishing simply meant graphic design performed on a computer, and that may sound redundant these days. But at that time, graphic design was performed on an art board with pens, and tape, and glue, razorblades, and other tools. These tools required hand skills that only came from lots of practice. With desktop publishing, suddenly everyone instantly had the ability to set type, draw, straight lines, create smooth curves and so on without having to learn any of those difficult mechanical skills.
