Hiding and showing objects

- [Instructor] Hiding objects can be helpful to exclude them from certain kinds of output or to just get them out of your way so you can focus on other objects. So let's see how to show and hide objects in Inkscape. First of all, I'll open the objects dialogue from the object menu, and let's say, I want it to hide all the leaves in this drawing. I'll drag over them to select them all and I'll drag down so I can see all the objects in the dialogue and notice how they're all highlighted here. I can click on any of the eye icons to hide all the selected leaves and I can click on any of them again, to show them all. You can also use the context menu to quickly show and hide selected objects. So I'll click on the monkey to select him and then right-click and choose hide selected objects. Then I'll de-select. And now if I just have my cursor in the area where the monkey was, I can right-click again and choose unhide…
