Importing Substance materials to Maya
- [Instructor] Once you've downloaded a Substance material, you'll need to bring it into Maya and attach it to a material that you can use in the scene. So let's take a look at how to do this. Now we're going to do this in Hypershade. So I'm going to select my Hypershade window and then make sure I'm in the Node Editor. So I'm going to right click over the Node Editor and do create node. And so we're going to create what's called a substance node. So I'm going to start typing the word substance in. And when I see substance node, I'm going to left click on that and that should bring it into the Node Editor. Now the substance node by itself is not a material. You will need to attach it to a specific material. But before you do that, you need to load a substance archive. So if I select this substance node, you'll see under load substance, I can hit the file folder. And then if I go into my exercise files, Substance folder,…
