Inserting special characters

- When you're working with texts, from time to time you'll need to enter a special character that you don't know how to type. For those times, Inkscape offers you two options, the glyphs dialogue and Unicode mode. Let's see how we can use both options, for entering special characters. Here in my document, I have a couple of little math equations but there's a problem, because neither of them is using the right mathematical symbol. In both cases, this is a lowercase X, not a real multiplication sign. So it's technically incorrect. So let's fix that. But you might not know how to type a multiplication sign. So in Inkscape you can get some help by opening the Unicode characters dialogue from the text menu. In the dialogue, I can start by choosing a font family and a style here. And if I expand the character field, I can see the characters that are available to me. Now in this case, I just want the same formatting…
