- Anxiety levels are through the roof when dealing in times of uncertainty. Remember that your employees are whole people with lives outside of work that might be creating circumstances that really builds this stress or anxiety beyond what you might see or understand. So how do you manage stress or anxiety when it's coming at you in the form of questions? The first step is to get really mindful about the root of those questions. Take a moment and really ask yourself, is this person coming from a place of fear or stress? If the answer to that is yes, you simply need to stop and shift into empathy mode. Take a moment and try to understand what they might be feeling and what they might need to hear in order to feel a little bit calmer during this uncertainty.
