Manual Exposure mode

- If you want the most control, Manual Exposure mode allows you to dial in very precise settings. And this is really the ultimate in camera control. Now, it does mean that you need to be paying attention because changes in lighting conditions or in subject matter can lead to bad results. But when shooting in controlled situations, or when you really want to be precise, you're going to use manual mode. Now to do this on your camera, there's likely a mode dial and you want to turn that to M. So if you were in a mode like I-Auto, just press the button to release it and swing that on over to manual. Now what you're going to see is that your control dials on the front and the back of the camera are going to do different things. In this case, as I change that front dial, notice how the aperture is changing. Here we have F22, very small opening, deep depth of field. Here we go to something like F2.8. Now, you might…
