Placing text on a path

- [Instructor] So far, we've seen how to add text to your Inkscape documents as regular text which goes in straight lines or as flow text which sits inside of a path shape, but there's another way of presenting text in Inkscape which is to put that text on a path, so you can make the text follow any shape or direction. Let's see how it's done. Here I have a spiral and some regular texts that I took from Alice in Wonderland, and I'd like to make the text flow along the spiral like Alice is falling down the rabbit hole. So to do that, I'm first going to convert the spiral shape to a path. Now this isn't necessary for the sake of attaching the text to the spiral, but it will give me some more options as we'll see in a moment. So I'll select the spiral and choose path, object to path, then I'll select both the path and the text and choose text put on path, and that looks pretty cool, but I don't like the fact that the…
