- [Instructor] Watching the footage that you've captured for your episodes can be exciting and, at times, cringy, especially if you're watching yourself on video. Mostly, it's an important and time-consuming effort, but if you screen the content quickly with an eye towards the vision of the episode, you can get through it and on to the creative parts of the actual editing phase. To start the culling process of the footage, I recommend getting all the footage onto one folder on your hard drive. This organization will pay off. Here's an example folder with all the footage for episode one, episode two, and any other footage that's on-brand and that can be used in almost any episode as B-roll. After gathering all the potential footage for an episode, what I do is set up a spreadsheet to make notes on the footage. Here's an example spreadsheet from our first episode.
