- This week on The Practicing Photographer, we're back with Jim Heid, who spends his entire life scanning old photos, just day after day. And Jim, you've moved on from scanning small old photos to scanning really large old photos. - Things are getting bigger and bigger around here, I guess. (laughing) Yeah. - I'm sorry, we're joking about this because if you've watched previous segments of The Practicing Photographer, you've seen Jim here a lot, giving a lot of tips on your project of scanning your father's voluminous photo archive. - Yeah, I'm up to 5000 or so items. And not just photos, and that's really where the kind of the large stuff comes in, but also documents.
