Section view

- [Instructor] Adding a section view to your SOLIDWORKS drawing is a great way to add detail and clarity. Sometimes you can't tell what the views that are available what exactly's going on with a specific design. Also, sometimes you can say a lot more with a section view than you can with multiple views around a part. So a section view is literally just a cut through or a cross section of a part that's dictated by a line that you orient. To create the section view, we go up to the View Layout tab and click on Section View. Over on the left, we have a few options. Vertical, horizontal, auxiliary and aligned. We're going to show to do an aligned section view in the next video. Let's go ahead and make a vertical section view. I'm going to click on Vertical and as I drag over to the views, you see I have a pink vertical line, that's my section where I'm going to be cutting through. So I'm going to put this on the center…
