Setting up Arnold for materials

- [Instructor] In this course we're going to be using Maya's Arnold render for our final output. So we will author our materials so that they look good in Arnold. Now when we create materials, we'll want to preview them in the Arnold render. So let's take a look at how to set up Arnold for materials. Now what we're going to be doing here is we're going to be testing a lot of materials. So we want things to be fairly fast. So let's hop over to our Render Settings window and let's hop over to the Arnold render tab. Now these are set up to the defaults. If I go into renderer Arnold, you'll see I already have a bunch of material set up here. So if I hit Start IPR, we can see what this render looks like. Now we're going to be creating some of these materials but this is kind of our final view here. So let me go ahead and zoom in. Now as you can see as I zoom in and out, it re-renders the scene.
