- [Instructor] Another interesting set of Inkscape filters are the ones that you can use to simulate various materials, including wood, marble, and gold. Let's check them out. I'll select the first star in the exercise file and choose Filters, Materials, 3D Marble, and instantly I get a pretty impressive marble effect, along with a beveled edge, which gives the object a little depth. Next, let's try a wood grain. I'll select the next star and choose Filters, Materials, 3D Wood, and that's a pretty decent wood grain. Now the results you get with each of these filters is going to rely in part on the fill color of the object that you're working with. So if I set a different fill color, like red, it's not going to look too much like wood, although it is an interesting effect. I'll undo.
