- [Instructor] Before we show you our version of this drawing. We should say that your drawing may look different from ours and that's okay. Just focus on ensuring that the size and location of every feature is defined. That's the approach we'll use as we walk through our version. We started by dimensioning the section view. The holes and revolved features should have center lines shown in this view. We dimensioned the outer diameter of the circular boss. Do not forget the diameter symbol here. We also defined its length from the mounting flange. Since the outside diameter is interrupted by a groove, it's best to use a continuous feature modifier so that it is treated as a single surface. We located the groove in the section view and then dimensioned its width, diameter and the inside corner radii in the detail view.
