Touring the Inkscape interface

- [Instructor] Let's take a brief tour of Inkscape to get familiar with the layout of the menus, tools and dialogue boxes in the user interface. I've got Inkscape running here but the interface looks a lot different from what you'd see on your computer. My copy of Inkscape is very empty because I've hidden most of the controls, so I can reveal them one by one. Right now, all I see are the menus, the page and the canvas which is the area around your artwork. The place you go to show in hide controls is the view menu. So I'll choose view, show hide, and I'll choose the commands bar. It appears on the right side of the screen, the commands bar gives you access to several common commands that are also located Inkscape's menus. Things like create new document, opening an existing document, save, print, import and export, undo and redo, copy, cut, and paste.
