Understanding hole types and standards
- [Instructor] The Hole Wizard has a huge database of relevant hole sizes and styles and types of different holes you might be wanting to use in your design. Let's go ahead and take a look at a few of those. First things first, let's go over here to this feature that I've already added, which is this Hole Wizard feature. Right-click on it and click on edit feature. Now right here we have a whole bunch of different styles of holes. We have a counter bore hole, a counter sunk hole, a regular straight hole, we've got some different types of tapped holes, like a straight tap, or a pipe or tapered tap, as well as just a regular legacy-style hole. And then down here we've got slots with a counter bore slot, a counter sunk slot, as well as a regular straight slot. Now below that are the different standards. So click on that box right there. You can we've got all these available standards. And if you click on any one of these standards, you're going to get all the styles of holes or types of…
