Use cases for specialized photography

- There's a lot you can do with photos these days, especially with software on the market. Photos can be used for measurement. Photos can now be measured in various photo-viewing software if the image is scaled either in tandem with an accompanying laser or depth sensor, or in post-processing using some sort of calibration tool in the software. This measurement capability has been further enhanced with machine learning technology, which can detect what sort of object the photo is representing and through algorithms, the image is scaled appropriately. Photos are also used for X-ray vision. On AEC projects, photos can be used to create a sort of X-ray vision by shooting a photo from the same location over time and then superimposing those on each other.
