Using PBR materials

- Arnold standard material, as well as Maya standard surface are both what are called PBR or physically based rendering materials. And as such, they have pretty much the same structures. So all the stuff you do in one material should be able to apply to the other. They're very, very similar. So I'm going to go ahead and select this wood cube here in the Arnold section. And let's go over to the attribute editor and click on the material. In this case, it's called Arnold wood. And in this, we've got the type of material, which is the AI standard surface. Now this is a physically based rendering material, or a PBR. And so we will have pretty much the same rollouts for this that we do for the Maya standard surface. So let's go ahead and click on that and go over to standard wood. And you'll see that we've got base, specular, transmission, and so on. And this one here has the same. So base, specular, transmission, and so on.…
