Using and creating block patterns

- [Instructor] Block patterns were introduced in WordPress 5.5. These are template-like patterns made up of blocks or groups of blocks. They're pre-styled and sometimes hold starter content, as we can see here. And they're pretty powerful, as they let normal users, read: non-techy folks, insert complex sections or layouts with a click of a button. They're also perfect for frequently used block configurations. Like we've already seen with blocks, there are block patterns included in WordPress. For instance, here is that two-button pattern we looked at earlier. And then theme and plugin developers can also register block patterns for their users or clients. So as an example, I've got the TT1 Blocks theme activated. And if I select this TT1 Blocks category, these are examples of all the patterns that are built into this theme. Block patterns or created or registered by adding a bit of code to a theme's functions.php file…
