Using grids

- Grid lines are helpful for creating certain kinds of images, including technical drawings and 3D artwork. Inkscape lets you create and customize multiple grids in one document. So, let's check them out. In an earlier movie, we'd looked Inkscape's guides. And grids are just a repeated pattern of guides over the whole canvas. There are two kinds of grids you can create in Inkscape. Rectangular grids which can help you draw two dimensional art, and axonometric grids which can help you draw 3D art along three axis. To create a grid, go to document properties and click on the grid's tab. Under creation, choose rectangular or axonometric and then click new. The grid is immediately created. And now you can start changing the options to suit your needs. I can hide the grid, but keep it enabled, I can snap to only the grid lines when they're visible. And what this means is when I zoom out and fewer grid lines…
