Using path commands

- [Instructor] In addition to the tools in Inkscape's toolbar, we also have some powerful commands in the Path menu for creating paths and modifying them. So let's check that out here. Here in my document, I have several identical object pairs, these yellow and blue things. And each one is just a rectangle and a circle. And I'm going to use them to illustrate the path commands for using one object to modify another. And I also have this green wavy path down here that I'm going to use to demonstrate the inset, outset, and offset commands. But let's start at the top and select the first pair of objects. And go to the Path menu and choose Union. And when I've run this, the two objects are united into one, and the formatting of the bottom object is kept. I'll select the second pair, and go back to the Path menu, and this time I'll choose Difference. This time, the top object was used to punch a hole in the bottom object,…
