Using procedurals to modulate roughness

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to take a look at modifying channels using procedurals. So what we're going to do is come over here to the cabinet texture set. And we have in here at the very bottom, we have this aluminum pure. So what we've had so far throughout this course is we've been dealing with fill layers, and we've been just basically using uniform values. Like for example, we have this roughness and yes it is producing some rough effects, but it's just this uniform value. You can get much better results by varying these channels using different textures, such as procedurals or grunge maps. So we're going to do that here in this video. So what we're going to do is here we have this roughness button here. So we have our slider, but then we also have this button. And if I click this button it's going to open up this mini shelf for me. Here we have our resources and I can actually start to filter here.…
