- This week on The Practicing Photographer we're back with wedding photographer Willa Kveta. Willa, we talked about pretty much everything to do with wedding photography in the previous few installments, but I want to just kind of talk about wedding photography as a business. Is it easy, it is hard, is now a good time? So let's start with first of all is wedding business, is it seasonal, are you only doing weddings some of the time and other times you got to find other stuff to do? - It is seasonal, but the best part is that I don't actually have to do other jobs because I get booked during the time that I'm not necessarily shooting the bulk of my weddings, so I get a deposit, and those deposits carry me through that slower time. - [Host] Okay. - And so I'm actually able to make a living all year round. - And are you using that slower time, is that when you're doing more of your marketing stuff and-- - Absolutely.
