- [Voiceover] Since Revit MEP is designed to address the specifics of your trade, the prerequisite requirements to learning this software are different for most. The one prerequisite is having some knowledge of your trade. Revit is object-oriented and results-driven. Knowing what you wanna see at the end of a certain procedure is always helpful. The basic computer skills are always helpful as well. Knowing how to save a file and navigate through the directory will come in handy. To run larger Revit models, you should have a computer with at least six gig of RAM. This will keep you from becoming overly frustrated. These videos were recorded using imperial units. If you're a metric user, the files will be the same. You can either follow along in imperial units or change the project units to metric. So, if you have never even used AutoCAD or even a casual computer user, you'll still be able to learn Revit.
