- There are no prerequisites to this course other than an interest in data analysis. However, to get the most out of it you should have a pretty good working knowledge of Excel. I'm not saying you have to be an expert, but you should know basic Excel commands like sorting, deleting and adding columns, and writing basic formulas. I'm also going to be using a PC for this course which means some of my commands might be different if you're on a Mac or Linux system. Even if you cannot directly perform the commands there's a lot of value in understanding the concepts and applying them to tools that are created to work with data.
