Seek out the informational pages for information in the manuals that you are using to be sure that you are not including too much or too little cost for your project. Here we will take a look at the informational page How to Use the Book: The Details. Let's scan over this page. First they tell us how they've developed the cost data. Down below there's a description about the fact that it's average cost data and that city cost indexes, like we just discussed, can be used. Below that, they talk about the specifics of the material costs and what's included and what isn't from the national average.
