Who are your competitors?

- As you develop and manage your brand, it's helpful to understand the differences and similarities between you and your competitors. A competitive brand analysis is a great way to get a variety of levels of information to help you do just that. The first step is to make a list of those competitors. I would encourage you that, even if you currently have a list, reviewing it and exploring it for new competitors at least twice a year is a useful endeavor. This list should be split up into several categories that most help your brand management. Let's start with the basics. Create a spreadsheet that lists each competitor's name, website, social media handles, and geographic location. Depending on your business, the location can be one of the most critical items.
